During the pandemic, New Zealand families increasingly relied on screens for distraction and entertainment, with boredom becoming a constant refrain. The task: Create an alternative offering that is creative; hands-on that help children and caregivers reconnect without digital devices.

Using a playful, whimsical approach, it encourages curiosity, creativity, and shared learning at home inviting families to unplug, get hands-on, and discover something new together.

Geometric patterns and wordplay shape the project’s visual and narrative style, evolving into engaging illustrations and characters that balance fun with educational value. Activity titles spark curiosity and interpretation, drawing children into imaginative exploration.
